Alibaba Launches Wan 3.0 Beta: Generating 30s Videos directly from PDFs and PPTs

On August 6, #Alibaba officially launched the public beta for its video generation model, Wan 3.0. This release boasts massive upgrades across generation length, #multimodal reference, and real-world simulation. Most notably, Wan 3.0 supports generating seamless, single-shot videos of up to 30 seconds, allowing complex camera movements and continuous narratives to unfold naturally. The model also introduces an intelligent duration feature, recommending the optimal video length based on the user's prompt.

In a groundbreaking shift, Wan 3.0 is evolving from a content creation tool into a core #productivity engine. Beyond standard inputs like text, images, and audio, it is the first model to directly ingest structured document formats including doc, xls, ppt, pdf, and md (supporting files up to 100MB or 50 pages). By simply uploading a product pitch deck and adding a prompt, users can instantly output a polished product demo. This capability is powered by advanced instruction-following capabilities and robust prompt engineering.

To meet professional standards, Wan 3.0 focuses on realism, achieving highly expressive and unique human characters with natural micro-expressions and body language. Digital assets, charts, and user interfaces are also rendered with enhanced aesthetic quality. The public beta is now available on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Bailian) and other platforms, with the API priced at 1.2 RMB/second for 1080P output.

[AgentUpdate Depth Analysis] By directly ingesting structured documents like PPTs and PDFs, Wan 3.0 marks a pivotal shift for video foundation models from creative entertainment to workflow-driven AI Agents. Unlike traditional models like Sora or Kling that rely purely on short text prompts, Wan 3.0 can comprehend dense, structured business contexts. In the evolving AI Agent ecosystem, this capability is a game-changer. Future Enterprise Agents will not only coordinate tools and generate text but will also consume business documents to autonomously output production-ready video assets. Wan 3.0's multi-page document parsing and sustained narrative generation lay a solid foundation for automated 'Video Production Agents,' dramatically accelerating the deployment of autonomous agents across digital marketing, corporate training, and office automation.
