Vibe-coding startup Superblocks has announced a multiyear joint marketing agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling its visual development tool to be directly embedded within the private clouds of #AWS customers. This means enterprise subscribers can now offer #vibe-coding capabilities to business users while ensuring that sensitive data never leaves their secure cloud environments to reach external model providers.
Under this integration, generated apps will spin up secure Amazon Aurora databases inside the company's private cloud, rather than defaulting to external options like Supabase. Furthermore, these applications will integrate natively with Amazon Bedrock, AWS's managed foundation model and AI gateway platform. This ensures that user-generated AI agents are automatically covered under corporate IT governance, auditing, and encryption, mitigating shadow IT risks.
"We’re going to bring vibe coding to your data inside your private cloud," Brad Menezes, co-founder and CEO of #Superblocks, told TechCrunch. AWS will actively co-sell Superblocks via its Marketplace. While AWS currently has Kiro (an AI agent for developers) and Amazon Q (for business users), it lacks a consumer-grade vibe-coding platform akin to Lovable or Replit, making this partnership highly strategic.
Superblocks, which raised $60 million in its Series A backed by Spark Capital and Kleiner Perkins, represents a much larger macro shift. Hyperscalers are urging enterprises to decouple the raw AI models from the necessary enterprise scaffolding, pushing them to purchase AI orchestration and security harnesses from the cloud providers rather than the frontier AI labs.
Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has echoed similar warnings, advising enterprise customers to employ multi-model architectures to avoid vendor lock-in. Nadella cautioned that frontier AI labs might not be suitable partners for agent orchestration due to potential data leakage and future business competition. Enterprises are already embracing this model-agnostic approach, increasingly integrating open-weight alternatives.
