Agent Vault is an open-source HTTP credential proxy and vault developed by Infisical. Designed to eliminate the risk of credential exfiltration (such as via prompt injection) in AI agents, it acts as a MITM proxy between agents and target APIs. Instead of providing agents with actual sensitive credentials, agents use dummy values and route outbound traffic through Agent Vault, which intercepts and injects real secrets on the fly. It features pluggable credential stores, egress filtering, and transparent proxy integration.
